Chilly morning temps ahead of a warmer afternoon Temperatures through Monday morning have been cold in the 20s and 30s, with a slight wind chill. A coat or jacket will be needed through the morning, and you may find some frost on your car before sunrise. By lunchtime, temperatures will rise to th e 40s, and we reach the mid-50s this afternoon. Cloud cover will steadily increase through the day ahead of a chance of rain. By the late afternoon, some showers will start to move in from the west. These will increase in coverage through the overnight hours. Your evening commute could see a few raindrops, but not enough to cause any major impacts. Rain lingers into Tuesday morning, but we clear by the afternoon, and temperatures will be mild again in the 50s. Christmas Eve and Christmas stay soggy Rain chances ramp up again heading into Wednesday morning. Most of Christmas Eve will stay wet, with on and off drizzle/rain chances. Temperatures will be mild, near 60 degrees for the afternoon. Heading into the night, rain chances will linger. By midnight, when Santa will be arriving in the Bluegrass, a few stray showers will likely still be around. This is no cause for concern, though, as Rudolph will easily be able to guide him through any rainfall. Heading out on Christmas, you may see some morning rain showers. By the afternoon, we look to dry up, and we’ll likely have some sunshine. Temperatures will be 20+ degrees above average, with many in the mid-60s and some possibly near 70. Those warmer temperatures will be seen further south. Rain chances continue into the weekend Friday will again see on-and-off rain chances and mild temperatures. This weekend, we’re likely to see a series of cold fronts move through, and this will bring us more rain and possibly even a few thunderstorms. This far out, confidence is low on this, as a lot could change between now and then. It is something to keep an eye on though, especially if you will be traveling this weekend. But there’s nothing to be overly concerned about at this time.
