In a recent column, Hilary Conklin, a professor of education at DePaul University, strongly argues that “federal agents’ operations are traumatizing a generation already scarred by COVID-19” (“These are the civic lessons that ICE is teaching our children,” Star-Advertiser, Commentary, Dec. 11).
