Dec 20, 2025
Tonight, snow will continue across the mountains, mainly in the northern areas. The steadiest snow will be over the Park Range and the northern Front Range, where travel could still be tricky this evening. Most of the accumulati
ng snow should end by around midnight, and areas south of I-70 will see little to no impact. Winter starts Sunday, parts of Colorado may see a white ChristmasBy Sunday, leftover clouds and moisture in the mountains will slowly decrease. Temperatures will be a bit warmer than today, especially on the plains, with highs reaching the 50s and possibly low 60s. Winds will start to increase in the higher elevations later in the afternoon and evening, but conditions will stay dry for most lower elevations.Sunday night into early next week, a warmer and drier weather pattern will take over. Winds aloft will weaken, allowing temperatures to climb well above normal for this time of year. Monday looks especially warm, with some locations possibly approaching record highs, and the mild weather will continue through Christmas. Tuesday may bring a slight cooldown, but it will still be warmer than average and dry across the plains and foothills. Skies will generally be clear to partly cloudy, and travel conditions should be good statewide outside of occasional mountain winds.Later in the week, there are signs that a more wintry pattern could return to the mountains. Snow chances increase late Wednesday and beyond, especially for mountain areas favored by southwest winds. The plains are expected to remain dry, but mountain travelers should keep an eye on the forecast as winter conditions may redevelop heading toward next weekend.DENVER WEATHER LINKS: Hourly forecast | Radars | Traffic | Weather Page | 24/7 Weather StreamClick here to watch the Denver7 live weather stream.
