Mercer County Top 22 recognized by Top Notch Soccer and Sports

HAMILTON – After a full year on the local scene, Jim Keegan’s Top Notch Soccer and Sports training facility took time to honor its Mercer County Top 22 from the 2025 high school soccer season Saturday at its indoor turf location on Youngs Road.
Eleven girls and 11 boys were lauded on site in an
event Top Notch is planning to make an annual affair.
Two players apiece from Steinert High, Notre Dame High, Allentown High and West Windsor-Plainsboro High South led the girls list.
The Spartans’ junior goalkeeper Mia Petracca and freshman midfielder/forward Ava Prosdocimo joined the Irish’s senior midfielder Avery Whittle and senior fullback Isabella Daley, the Redbirds’ freshman midfielder Gabby Tate and sophomore forward/midfielder Giada Del Re, along with the Pirates’ sophomore forward Riley Duguay and senior fullback Meadow Boateng topped the award winners.
They were joined by Princeton Day School junior forward/midfielder Ava Katz, Hopewell Valley High senior midfielder Delainey Ross and Lawrence High senior midfielder/forward Becca Boggs.
On the boys side, Notre Dame High led Top Notch’s picks with five players selected. The Irish’s junior goalkeeper Anthony Merluse, senior forward Landon Hoenisch, senior midfielder Nick Angiolino, senior fullback Jayce Palumbo and senior forward/midfielder Luca Ercolano were honored.
Steinert had two players recognized with senior midfielder/forward Chris DiMarco and junior midfielder/forward Chris Vega-Ramirez.
Rounding out the honorees were Robbinsville High senior midfielder Nico Mathews, Princeton High senior fullback Chase Hamerschlag, Lawrence High senior midfielder Raul Sepulveda and Trenton High senior midfielder Aaron Merlin.
Top Notch’s Mercer County Top 22 players were chosen for their high school soccer IQ, their field vision and awareness, their first touch and ball control, their speed/quickness and pace of play, their ability to play and succeed at the next level as well as for being a player a team could be built around.
Capping the day, PDS’ Katz was chosen as Girls’ Player of the Year, and R’ville’s Mathews was picked as Boys’ Player of the Year.
