SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two men pled guilty in federal court in connection to a string of robberies in the East Bay in early 2024, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of California (USANDC) said in a statement. Jaray Washington, 42, of Oakland pled guilty Friday to committing eigh t armed robberies throughout the East Bay over a three-week span in 2024, according to the USANDC. He also pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. Found: Stolen French bulldog Hank returned to owners Washington admitted to robbing multiple gas stations, convenience stores and a fast-food restaurant from Jan. 14 to Feb. 2, 2024, the USANDC detailed in its statement. Deante Hunt, 26, of Concord pled guilty on Nov. 14 to one count of robbery for his participation in two of the armed thefts carried out by Washington, according to the USANDC. Washington is currently in federal custody and is scheduled to be sentenced on March 6, 2026.  Hunt is currently released on bail and is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 20, 2026. Each defendant faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count of robbery.
