A special weather statement was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 5:31 p.m. until 9:45 p.m. for Southern Herkimer, Southern Fulton, Northern Saratoga, Northern Washington, Western Schenectady, Eastern Schenectady, Southern Saratoga, Western Albany, Eastern Albany, Western Renssel aer, Eastern Rensselaer, Western Greene, Eastern Greene, Western Columbia, Eastern Columbia, Western Ulster, Eastern Ulster, Western Dutchess, Eastern Dutchess, Northern Fulton, Southeast Warren and Southern Washington as well as Montgomery and Schoharie counties."Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing this evening, with lingering showers expected to mix with or change over to snow before ending. Any roads that remain wet due to ice and/or snow could become slippery as temperatures drop below freezing.
