Police have arrested a 12-year-old boy and charged him with attempted murder in the case of another 12-year-old boy who was stabbed in the chest in Brooklyn a day ago, authorities said Friday. The suspect was taken into custody late Thursday, hours after the incident near Dumont Avenue and Thomas Boyland Street in Brownsville. Cops allege he fled the scene immediately after the attack. It wasn’t clear what precipitated the stabbing. A knife was recovered at the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition and is expected to survive.
