KSP Arrests a Man in connection with a child sexual abuse material investigation

LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police arrested a Laurel County man Thursday evening in connection with a child sexual abuse material investigation.
Troopers with KSP’s Electronic Crime Branch arrested Lloyd Vincent Riley, 31, around 6:06 p.m. on Dec. 18 following an undercover I
nternet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation. Police say the investigation began after Riley was identified as uploading sexually explicit images of juveniles online.
A search warrant was executed at a residence in London, where investigators seized electronic equipment believed to have been used in the crime. The items were sent to KSP’s forensic laboratory for analysis. The investigation remains ongoing.
Riley is charged with one count of distributing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
The investigation was conducted as part of the Kentucky Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a multi-agency effort led by KSP to combat online exploitation of children.
