INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An IndyGo bus crashed into at least three vehicles and a downtown apartment building early Friday morning. Online police reports show Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers and Indianapolis firefighters were dispatched to the 800 Capitol Apartments aroun d 7:15 a.m. on a report of an accident with injuries. News 8 chief photographer John LeSage reported from the scene that two ambulances were seen leaving the area. IMPD Public Information Officer Tommy Thompson said in a later release that two of the vehicles involved were parked, while only one was occupied. The bus driver and a passenger in the occupied vehicle were taken to hospitals in stable condition. All other reported injuries were considered “minor injuries – complaints of pain.” It is unclear what led up to the crash or how badly the building was damaged.
