The San Diego Padres have re-signed right-hander Michael King to a three-year deal worth $75 million, MLB.com reported Thursday night. The agreement reportedly includes opt-outs after the 2026 and 2027 seasons, as well as a $12 million signing bonus. The 30-year-old starting pitcher came to th e club two years ago from the New York Yankees in the Juan Soto trade. Before that, he was with the Yankees since the 2019 season, his Major League Baseball debut. King spent a chunk of the 2025 season on the injured list, dealing with a right shoulder issue in May and left knee inflammation in August.
