(KRON) -- An 18-year-old Santa Rosa resident faces multiple gun charges after special enforcement team officers and gang crime and narcotics detectives recovered assault weapons — without any serial numbers — in his bedroom during a home search Thursday afternoon, according to the Santa Rosa Pol
ice Department.
One injured in early morning Telegraph Avenue shooting, OPD says
Ismael Campos was booked into the Sonoma County Adult Detention Facility for felony and misdemeanor charges, including possession of an assault weapon, SRPD said in a social media post.
Authorities said the search warrant, conducted just before 2 p.m., was tied to an active investigation concerning illegal weapons possession.
"During a search of the residence, a loaded SKS 7.62x39 mm rifle and a loaded .40 caliber Sig P320 was found in Campos’s bedroom," Santa Rosa police said. "The Sig was found to have obliterated serial numbers. Campos was also in possession of suspected cocaine."

Santa Rosa police said a juvenile at the residence fled from the back of the house during the search warrant service and tried to escape by scaling a neighbor's fence then hiding on their property. They were later detained. The juvenile, whose identity was not revealed due to their age, was found to be on probation for a separate case in Sonoma County, said police.
Police did not clarify the relationship between Campos and the juvenile. The child was booked into Juvenile Hill and faces charges of resisting arrest and violation of probation.
