(KRON) -- On Tuesday, amidst the restaurant going viral for the behavior of a disgruntled customer, Hazie's in San Francisco posted a photo of its interior on Instagram with this caption. "Come for happy hour. Stay for the Duck Carbonara. Accidentally order dessert. It happens." No mention of the elephant in the room. Despite millions of people already having viewed the video, Hazie's has elected not to directly comment on the incident over the weekend. However, the comments section did that for them -- seemingly brought to the restaurant's Instagram page upon viewing the viral video. It looks like Hazie's -- founded by local celebrity chef Joey Altman -- might be a bit busier this weekend. "Coming for a date night after that video," another comment reads on Hazie's Instagram page. That was one of many comments left on Hazie's comments section to show support for the Hayes Valley restaurant. Since it was founded in 2022 by Altman, Hazie's has gone through its ups and downs. In 2024, Hazie's reported that it was burglarized for a third time. Despite that, the community rallied, and the business was able to withstand thousands of dollars worth of damage and remain open. Hazie's is a restaurant and bar serving "contemporary handcrafted California cooking." The menu features classics like rib-eye steak and salmon, complementing a variety of wines, cocktails and beer. The restaurant was named on the 2025 OpenTable Diners' Choice. Hazie's also features a special brunch menu for the weekend. They are closed on Mondays. Full hours can be viewed here.
