A woman was discovered lying in the street overnight after a possible hit and run accident on the West Side in the Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers were waived down and alerted to a person in the middle of the street in the 3900 block of West Fifth A venue. The officers discovered a woman about 40 years of age with multiple injuries to the body, police said. The woman was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
