The suspect in the fatal hospital stabbing of a social worker in San Francisco was expected in court Tuesday morning. The stabbing at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital sent shockwaves through the community and has led to a number of workers calling for safety changes at the facility. T he San Francisco District Attorney’s Office says the suspect, Wilfredo Tortolero Arriechi, went to the hospital with a concealed knife to speak to a doctor.Tortolero spoke to a social worker before he was advised to leave. Arriechi and the social worker, Alberto Rangel, then walked to an elevator together, where Arriechi allegedly grabbed Rangel and stabbed him numerous times. Rangel died days later.
