PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police have released additional footage of a person of interest connected to the Brown University shooting, according to the department. In the newly-released photos and videos, a person can be seen wearing a mask and hat, as well as dark clothing. In the v ideos, the man, who the FBI described as 5’8 and “bulky,” can be seen walking in the area of Hope Street and Benevolent Street. Brown University said multiple exams had been occurring at the building where the initial shooting took place. They were released later that day. “The evidence that we have, the scientific evidence that we have available to us, after it was analyzed, made clear that this was not someone who should be detained in connection with this case,”  Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said on ABC News Good Morning America. “So we released him and then moved on looking at other evidence and pursuing other leads pointing at additional potential individuals.” Police are again asking members of the public for any video evidence they may have in connection with the crime.
