LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Hope Center is gearing up to bring some holiday cheer to hundreds of people in its recovery, emergency shelter and veterans programs with a large holiday celebration on Tuesday. Organizers say the event, held at the Hope Center’s Don Ball Campus, will se rve about 300 clients and distribute more than 600 gifts. Participants will also have the chance to “shop” for items not only for themselves, but for their children and family members. Hope Center officials say the annual celebration is designed to create a sense of community and ensure that clients — many of whom are facing significant challenges — can still experience the joy and connection of the holiday season.
