INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — EXTREME COLD WARNING for most spots west of I-69 until 11 AM ET this morning. Wind chill values could drop in the -20 to -25 range.
For everyone else, a COLD WEATHER
ADVISORY is in place from now until Monday AM. Once the Extreme Cold Warning expires, a Cold Weather Advisory will take place for those counties until Monday AM as well. If you are unfamiliar with these alerts, the wording of each replaced what was a Wind Chill Advisory and a Wind Chill Warning.
TODAY: Sunny and cold. Winds out of the NW at around 10 mph. Wind chill values waking up in the -15 to -25 range. High temperature of 9 degrees in Indianapolis. Our record cold high for December 14 is 9 degrees (1963).
TONIGHT: Another cold night. Low temperatures just below 0 degrees. Winds won’t be as strong by wind chill values -10 to -20 are possible.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Despite another really cold start, high temperatures climb into the mid-20s.
7-DAY FORECAST: All the snow we got this week will likely be gone by the end of the week! A gradual warm-up takes hold. By Thursday, showers are likely with high temperatures returning to the 50s.
