Light snow will fall across the region throughout the overnight as a fast moving storm system will pass south and east of the Islands of Cape Cod late Sunday morning. As of this writing at 11PM Saturday evening, it looks like most of the snow will taper off by the early afternoon, although ‘oce an effect’ snow showers will continue on the outer Cape into Sunday evening. I’m expecting 1-2 inches of snow to accumulate from near the RI/MA border up into the Worcester area. From Providence southward to the coast we will see 2-4 inches with the highest amounts in Washington and Newport counties. As the storm ends, temperatures will begin to fall and winds will increase. Winds will gust to 25-30MPH throughout Sunday night and Monday creating wind chills into Monday morning making feel like it is down near zero! As we move into the afternoon Monday highs will only climb into the mid and upper 20s, but the wind will continue to make it feel like the teens amid a mix of sun and clouds. Tuesday through Thursday will feature a good deal of sunshine. Tuesday starts a bit of a warming trend with highs in the low 30s, Wednesday climbs to the low 40s and then both Thursday and Friday will be in the upper 40s to near 50°!
