HS Boys Basketball Wrap: Nottingham rolls past Steinert in opener

HAMILTON — The Nottingham High boys basketball team began its season by doing something it almost always does.
Beat cross-town rival Steinert.
James Rumph and Harry Bisset scored 16 points each, Quashawn Roberts added 12 and the Northstars opened the winter campaign with a 66-49 victory over the S
partans on Saturday afternoon.
Thoams Ditta led all scorers with 20 points for Steinert and Christian Guagliardo added 14.
South Brunswick 57, WW-PS 32
SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Arjun Jadhav poured in 26 points, Kevin Burgman added 14 and the Vikings (1-0) began their season by pulling away from the Pirates (0-2). Nihan Palla led South with seven points.
Hillsborough 67, PDS 41
HILLSBOROUGH — Gary Jennings got 20 points for the Panthers (0-1), but it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat as Jack Toth put in 20 and Aaron Feath 19 for Hillsborough (1-0).
North Hunterdon 52, WW-PN 41
PLAINSBORO — Andrew Alfaro netted 20 points, Tyler Luciano had 12 and the Lions (1-0) knocked off the Knights (1-1). Jordan Hunte and Aarav Mohan had 12 points each for North, which won its opener over sister-school South, 47-41, on Friday night.
