Unofficial results of the Robstown runoff election are in. The runoff followed the November election, where no candidate received the required 50% plus one vote in the mayoral race or the City Council Place 1 race.Incumbent Davi d Petey Martinez leads the mayoral race with 52.25% of the vote, while Mary Ann Saenz received 47.44%.In the Place 1 race, John A. Ramon is ahead with 56.06% of the vote. His opponent, Robert Silguero, received 43.94%.822 total ballots were cast out of the city's total 5,980 registered voters. As previously reported on, this election received lower turnout reflecting a pattern of decreasing turnout for the city. According to DataUSA, Robstown has approximately 10,000 residents. In 2023, about 6,000 people were registered to vote, but only 1,222 actually cast ballots. That year also required a runoff election, which drew 1,231 voters.
