An investigation is underway after officials said one person was found dead following a house fire in Chester County, Pennsylvania. According to officials, around 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Foxwood Lane in Easttown Township, Chester County, a fter receiving a report about smoke coming from a residence. Officials said first responders were on scene shortly after the call was dispatched and were met by a family member outside, who stated that someone was still inside the home. Firefighters entered the home and immediately searched, officials said. The crew found a fire in the basement and one person dead. One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, officials said. The fire was placed under control in just 20 minutes. Officials said the identity of the individual who was found dead is not being released at this time, as this fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Easttown Township Police Department. ...read more read less
