A single-engine homebuilt aircraft veered off a runway and into a ditch after landing at a rural airport in Parker County on Friday afternoon. The FAA told NBC 5 the experimental aircraft was a Monnett Sonerai that touched down at Bourland Field Airport in Cresson at about 2:30 p.m. Parker Cou nty ESD 1 said a battalion chief assisted in the technical rescue of the pilot who was trapped in the aircraft. Video from Texas Sky Ranger showed the pilot being taken by stretcher to an air ambulance and flown to the hospital. Only the pilot was on board and their condition is not known.
