Philadelphia will be spinning with excitement as American Gold Live twirls into the city this weekend. The holiday figure-skating extravaganza will feature two shows in the city’s University City neighborhood on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Penn Ice Rink. This is you r chance to see world class figure skaters beofre the Winter Olympics begins. Olympic Champion Brian Boitano will be on the mic as host and he shared that the lineup gaurantees a great show. “Two world champions, a world silver medalist,” Boitano told NBC10. Some of Team USA’s brightest Olympic hopefuls, World Champions Alysa Liu and Ilia Malinin, nicked Quadgod, plus World Silver medalist and South Jersey’s own Isabeau Levito will dazzle audiences. “Some cool spins, cool jumps, and some really amazing choreography because we don’t have any rules here so we can really go all out and do our favorite things,” said Liu. “I think they are going to skate a little unplugged. They will be skating for the audience, not for judges, not for marks,” Boitano added. The shows will also honor the young figure skaters who lost their lives in the January plane crash with net proceeds going to a legacy fund helping the next generation of American skaters.
