Bay Area’s weather divide continues Friday
Dec 12, 2025
(BCN) -- Friday in the Bay Area calls for patchy and dense fog covering multiple parts of the region, particularly inland areas, with mostly clear and sunny skies elsewhere, the National Weather Service said.
Daytime highs will be mostly in the high 60s to low 70s on the coast, low 40s to low 60s a
round the bay, and in the mid 40s to mid 60s inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the low to mid 40s.
The Bay Area's unusual weather divide will continue Friday, with warm sunshine along the coast and stubborn fog holding temps down in the North and East Bay valleys, the NWS says.
Forecasters expect Friday to get stratus that may be slightly less widespread, with the South Bay likely to see the biggest improvement.
Meanwhile, a beach hazards statement is in effect until 10 p.m. for all Pacific Coast beaches in California. Beachgoers are advised to use caution due to the risk of sneaker waves and rip currents, with breaking waves of up to 16 feet.
