RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Nearly 60 parked vehicles were broken into across the city of Richmond in the span of two days. Between the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 10 and the morning of Thursday, Dec. 11, the Richmond Police Department received two separate reports of parked vehicles being damaged and i tems being stolen. According to police, officers received reports of car damage and thefts from cars at about 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, in the 400 block of North 18th Street, and at about 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, in the 2200 block of E. Cary Street. On North 18th Street, officers found 33 vehicles with smashed driver’s side windows. On E. Cary Street, officers found 26 vehicles with smashed driver's side windows. Police said that the vandalism and thefts on E. Cary Street occurred at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
