TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — State fire officials have released a likely cause of a Taunton apartment complex fire that displaced 15 residents Tuesday. According to the Massachusetts fire marshal’s office, the fire probably started due to a lithium ion battery. Five people were rescued from the ea rly morning Tuesday fire at Taunton Garden Apartments, and four were taken to an area hospital.
