Tue evening forecast – Dec 9, 2025 INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After finally breaking a 12 day streak of below normal temperatures on our Tuesday, we’re tracking multiple systems that will bring both rain and snow. This will eventually lead towards the possibility of our coldest air this month b y this weekend. Tuesday night: Scattered to widespread rain moves in late. Temperatures will hang around in the upper 30s to low 40s overnight. Wednesday: Widespread showers carry through the pre-dawn hours. Closer to the late-morning timeframe, we look to see a switchover to some snow. It is not out of the question for there to be localized heavier snow bursts, and this is where we could especially see a quick coating of snow form on the ground. Highs will occur early in morning in the low 40s before temperatures gradually fall. Wind gusts will also be stronger up to 30-40+ mph at times. Thursday: We’ll track another clipper system by Thursday night into Friday morning. There is uncertainty on system track and if dry air will try to interfere with some of the snow. Nonetheless, additional light snow accumulation is possible with this system. Highs to be colder as well with numbers in the upper 20s to low 30s. 7-Day Forecast: Another clipper system with more snow is possible Saturday. This will all lead way for a more significant blast of arctic air to swing down from western Canada. Highs by Sunday will fall into the teens. Lows Saturday and Sunday morning look to try and sink into the single digits. Depending on how much of a snowpack is generated into this weekend, temperatures overall could trend even colder. This also correlates with forecasted wind chill values as those may be subzero at times this weekend. ...read more read less
