Park City Hospital doctor making global impact as new president of American College of Sports Medicine

As a part of her new role as president of the world’s largest sports medicine and exercise science organization, Dr. Jaworski has been speaking to audiences around the globe about the importance of physical activity in the prevention and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, mental health disorders and certain cancers.
Her presidential initiative, “Movement for All: Moving Together to Move Forward,” includes assembling an American College of Sports Medicine task force to create a roadmap to achieve this goal.
In addition to caring for both local and elite athletes in her sports and exercise medicine practice at Intermountain Park City Hospital, Dr. Jaworski has been working with global leaders on best ways to promote physical activity in all countries worldwide.
This includes being an invited member of the Global Alliance for the Promotion of Physical Activity in Hamburg, Germany, where she signed the Hamburg Declaration 2025, which is aimed at using precision medicine and technology to ensure actionable, science-driven steps to ensure the health and well-being of people worldwide.
“I’m honored to be able to represent (American College of Sports Medicine) and Intermountain Health in this important work as I collaborate with global experts to advance the latest science as it relates to the promotion of physical activity,” said Dr. Jaworski. “Park City is a world-renowned destination for year-round outdoor activity and elite sports training and competitions. This environment provides us with many avenues to inspire people of all ages to include movement in their daily routines.
In May of 2026, hundreds of members of the American College of Sports Medicine will be in Salt Lake City for the organization’s annual meeting, which Dr. Jaworski will oversee as President. This meeting will be aim to be a convergence of global leaders in basic and applied science, education and allied health as well as clinical medicine.
