An investigation is underway after, police say, a 93-year-old man was found dead after suffering lacerations to his head and chest at a home in Philly’s Nicetown section on Friday. According to police, the man’s wallet and car were also missing when the man’s body was discovered. The in vestigation, officials said, began at about 2:38 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, when officers discovered a 93-year-old man, who was unresponsive, at a home along the 4500 block of North 16th Street in Philly’s Nicetown neighborhood. Medics responding to the home, police said, pronounced the man at the scene at about 3:05 p.m. Police are considering this a suspicious death, noting along with having lacerations to his head and chest, the man’s wallet, car keys and vehicle were missing when he was discovered by police. Police are on the lookout for the man’s vehicle — a white 2007 Chrysler 300 with Pennsylvania Tag GRJ-5294.
