Man shot by wife while children were inside home, IMPD says

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police were investigating after a man was shot by his wife while their two children were inside their southwest side home.
Just after 12:30 a.m. Monday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting at a home on West Caven St
reet. That’s near Minnesota Street and South Lynhurst Drive, not far from I-70.
Officers arrived and found the victim, who had been shot at least once. He was said to be in critical condition when transported to a hospital.
IMPD says the man’s wife was “cooperative” with investigators. She was released pending further investigation.
The couple’s two children were not hurt. Police did not say if they witnessed the shooting.
IMPD did not identify the suspect or the victim and no other information was immediately available.
