Lakewood woman killed in home during suspected burglary, police say

A woman was killed Saturday in what police are investigating as a burglary turned homicide inside her Lakewood home, according to the department.
Lakewood officers responded to the 300 block of S. Kendall Street after a woman was found dead in her home, according to a news release from the police de
partment.
The woman’s identity and cause of death had not been released as of Sunday evening. Additional information about the incident, including why police believe it started as a burglary, was not available.

Investigators are also asking residents in the area to check their security cameras for “anything that may look suspicious.”
