The injury report for San Antonio’s Monday game against the Pelicans had good news for Spurs fans. Stephon Castle is listed as questionable and expected to return to action after missing nine games with a hip flexor injury. Luke Kornet, who missed the matchup against Cleveland with an ank le injury, was also listed as questionable but expected to play. The news is not a shock, since Castle, Victor Wembanyama, and Jordan McLaughlin all joined the team in New Orleans and participated in practice, according to the San Antonio Express-News’ Jeff McDonald. McLaughlin, who has been inactive for the past nine games due to a hamstring issue, also practiced with the team but is listed as out against the Pelicans. The Spurs have done remarkably well with two of their best players in recent weeks, going 7-3 in their last 10 games. Several players stepped up to make up for the absences, and the return of Dylan Harper on Nov. 26, after he missed 10 games with a calf strain, gave them a boost. San Antonio is fifth in the Western Conference standings with a 15-7 record. ...read more read less
