Parkite freestyle skier Chris Lillis podiumed in the first aerials World Cup of the season in Ruka, Finland on Saturday. Lillis finished with a score of 109.74, just behind Switzerland’s Pirmin Werner in second place, but both well behind Ukraine’s Oleksandr Okipniuk in first. The 27 year o ld finished the 2024-25 season ranked fifth in the world. Fellow Parkite freestyle skier Kyra Dossa finished just off the women’s aerials podium on Saturday, with a score of 69.31. China’s Mengtao Xu won the women’s title with a score of 89.29. The Ruka freestyle World Cup continues Sunday with solo moguls action. There will be two solo moguls competitions in Ruka, the second on Monday. The second and third moguls World Cups of the season were cancelled, and the next freestyle World Cup after Ruka will be the Secret Garden, China World Cup featuring aerials action only Dec. 20 and 21.
