Santa Sleigh Collection returning to Concord neighborhoods
Dec 05, 2025
A Concord neighborhood tradition continues this month as the annual Santa Sleigh Collection makes its rounds through five local neighborhoods/streets — the Brightwood community, Somerset Trail, Sturbridge, Concord Hills, and Aria’s Way.
On the afternoon of Dec. 7, between approximately 1:30 and
3:30 p.m., residents are invited to listen for Santa’s arrival and bring out canned goods, boxed meals, and other non-perishable items, according to a news release. All donations collected will be delivered directly to the St. Gabriel Food Pantry, helping serve hundreds of local families throughout the winter months.
The tradition was originally started by the Byrnes family, who passed the sleigh reins to Courtnee White this year to ensure the spirit and service of the event lived on, the release stated
“It’s more than just Santa collecting food—it is neighbors coming together, children learning the joy of giving, and a reminder that acts of kindness build strong communities,” White stated in the release.
Pam Lewis, director of the St. Gabriel Food Pantry, said the impact of the collection is deeply felt by the families who rely on the pantry throughout the year.
“Our pantry exists because of the generosity of our community,” she stated in the release “The Santa Sleigh Collection is one of those traditions that embodies the very best of who we are. These donations make a real difference for local families, especially during the winter months. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who participates and helps keep this beautiful tradition alive.”
Anyone with questions about this event can contact White at 513-280-1219.
