‘A Twisted Christmas’ back in Manayunk for holiday season frights
Dec 05, 2025
The glad tidings, sugar plums and jolly laughter are taking a break in Manayunk again this season.
Lincoln Mill Haunted House, 4100 Main St., Manayunk, is back with “A Twisted Christmas,” on Dec. 12 and 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. each night
“Lincoln Mill Haunted house is an immersive story-tell
ing attraction. We wanted to continue telling the Lincoln Mill story throughout the holiday season,” said Lincoln Mill Haunted House co-founder Jared Bilsak. “We have many detailed sets, scenes, and props that are sitting and collecting dust throughout the off-season. It only made sense that we utilize our haunted house space, sprinkle it with a Christmas essence, and offer something new and exciting to the community for the holiday season.”
Tickets for “A Twisted Christmas” are available at https://lincolnmillhaunt.com. This event features over 50 fright actors and is intended to be very scary.
The story is how evil mill owner Viktor Kane, who now haunts the mill, hallucinated his workers mutating into twisted elves and sinister winter creatures during the 1930s.
In his head, the mill has transformed into a nightmarish winter wonderland. Guests will descend down to the mill’s basement via a freight elevator and will have to navigate through Viktor’s dark winter wonderland.
“We always thought it would be interesting to mesh together our two favorite Holidays, Christmas and Halloween,” Bilsak said. “Considering our attraction has naturally been designed to be scary, it only made sense that our Christmas experience be a dark twisted one that continues to build upon the Lincoln Mill story. There are not many scary-themed Christmas events out there and we are always looking to offer new and exciting experiences to our guests.”
The interior of the mill has been decorated for Christmas. Christmas lights, tinsel, ornaments, trees, stockings, and anything that you can think of Christmas has been added and overlaid on top of the existing sets. The story contains the same cast of characters but all characters will have a Christmas essence to them.
“Offering a Christmas-themed event was always a part of the plan,” Bilsack said. “We began to float the idea of it this past fall season and there was plenty of excitement around it. So it was the perfect time to move forward.”
In terms of the haunted house itself, the mill has been upgraded each year to add some exciting new scenic effects. During Halloween, the mill also expanded the footprint and added more space on the inside and outside.
“The soundtrack, the lighting and the characters will make our ‘Twisted Christmas’ event very unique compared to the fall season,” Bilsack added. “We are always changing things up so guests will never have the same experience twice. We are excited for our upcoming Valentine’s Day event entitled ‘Viktor’s Valentine’ on Feb 13th and 14th and our St. Patrick’s event on March 14th.”
