The No. 3-ranked UW-La Crosse men’s basketball team pushed its record to 7-0 on Thursday with a 72-62 win over Ripon.
Four of five starters scored in double figures for the Eagles, led by JJ Paider, who scored 17 on 7-for-12 shooting. The 6-foot-7 forward added 10 rebounds, while teammate Dustin D
erousseau added 14.
Sam Geiger, who came in averaging 26.5 points, scored 13.
Since opening the season with two- and three-point wins over Top 20 teams, the Eagles have beaten its past five opponents by an average of 10.4 points.
UW-L is off now until back-to-back games Dec. 19-20 at the Wisconsin Dells Invitational.
The Eagles aren’t home again until Jan. 3, when they begin WIAC play.
