Boudreaux’s Jewelers, a fourth-generation family business, announced plans to invest $4 million to expand and modernize its flagship location in St. Tammany Parish. The project will more than double the facility’s footprint and create one of Louisiana‘s largest on-site jewelry manufacturing studios.
Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with completion expected by October 2026. The company plans to maintain full operations throughout the renovation to minimize disruption for customers.
The expansion will include a redesigned first-floor showroom and a state-of-the-art second-floor manufacturing studio to support Boudreaux’s growing design and production teams. The upgrades aim to enhance workflow efficiency and the customer experience.
The project is expected to create two direct jobs with an average salary of $115,000—nearly double the average wage in St. Tammany Parish—and an estimated six additional indirect positions in the region. Nineteen current employees will be retained.
“Louisiana has always been home for our family and business, and it has a rich history of jewelry manufacturing that we hope to be a shining example of in a world of overseas jewelry manufacturing,” Boudreaux’s COO Brandon Boudreaux said.
State officials highlighted the project as part of Louisiana’s efforts to encourage high-wage job growth. Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said the expansion reflects the company’s long-term strategy and aligns with the state’s High Impact Jobs program.
Local leaders also praised the project. Mandeville Mayor Clay Madden called it “an exciting new chapter” for a family-owned business that has been part of the community since 1995. Economic development officials noted that the expansion would bolster the regional economy and provide additional contract and vendor opportunities.
Boudreaux’s Jewelers operates additional locations in Metairie and Baton Rouge, continuing a nearly century-long presence in the Louisiana jewelry market. Founded in 1932 by Gilmore Boudreaux Sr., the company is known for its in-house designs and manufacturing capabilities.
