A Camp Pendleton Marine died during training Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 3, base officials announced. The Marine, who will not be identified until next of kin have been notified, was in a tactical vehicle at the time of the incident, said a spokesperson from the I Marine Expeditionary Force. The Marin e died as a result of injuries sustained, he said. The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m., the spokesperson said. There were no further details provided about where on the base the death occurred or what type of training was being done.
