FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — An initial hearing has been set for Thursday morning to formally charge a man with a Tuesday evening murder in downtown Fort Wayne. The name of the man fatally shot was not shared in a news release issued Wednesday morning from Fort Wayne Police Department. News 8 by Wednesday night had not received notification from the Allen County Coroner’s Office on the man. Domonique Drew, 34, of Fort Wayne, was to be formally charged with murder in Allen Superior Court 5, online documents showed Wednesday night. The release said Fort Wayne police responded about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday to a shooting on the 400 block of East Washington Boulevard. Officers found the man with gunshot wounds, who died at a medical trauma center. A few hours after the shooting, Drew was apprehended during a traffic stop about two blocks away at South Clinton Street and East Jefferson Boulevard.
